CNN host Don Lemon was recently roasted for his moderator performance during the Town Hall event with President Joe Biden. The event was declared a train wreck, garbage, and a “far cry from the successful town hall events of the past.”
Biden spoke to a half-empty room and struggled to answer simple questions, something that Lemon didn’t point out. He even referred to Biden as the “big guy” during the town hall event, which was the name he was referred to in Hunter Biden’s leaked emails. Lemon’s Town Hall performance only proves he is more of a Democrat than a journalist, but what CNN reporter isn’t?
Since the event, Lemon has continued to use his CNN platform to bully the unvaccinated, even suggesting that those who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 should be banned from grocery stores, offices, and ball games. He said while a lot of people “won’t agree with this,” he believes it’s another “no shirt, no shoes, no service” rule. He said people should stop wasting their breath on people who are not going to change.
Lemon went on to say that a kid cannot give other kids meningitis in schools and that you’ve got to take a vaccine for that. He asked what the big deal is and said most people are out drinking on the weekend and putting other substances in their bodies way worse than a vaccine.

Lemon even tried to claim that former president Donald Trump “politicized” the vaccine, despite him launching the program that resulted in record-time vaccination distribution. Lemon failed to mention all of the times then-Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris expressed vaccine skepticism coming from the Trump Administration.
Even Lemon’s colleague Chris Cuomo seemed to agree and said there is only a “very pronounced minority” of people who have health exceptions. He said the “Trumpers” are just as toxic as the virus but that he has hope they will get “quieter about it” soon.
Cuomo said they don’t want people to “misplay a pandemic” with all of the political narratives and suggested for more Republicans to become pro-vaccination if they don’t want to lose in the 2022 midterms. He emphasized that the situation “cannot be left or right,” which is already ironic coming from CNN.
But most people would voice opposition to ostracizing the unvaccinated from society and not letting them go grocery shopping or hold a job. Don Lemon’s program has been struggling to hold ratings at CNN, even averaging their smallest audience since changing their name last week. Lemon teased a major announcement for the show back in May and hinted that his news would be the “end of an era.”
Many people assumed the announcement was about Lemon leaving CNN or losing his primetime role. But the “major news” was only a minor name change, with “CNN Tonight with Don Lemon” being replaced with “Don Lemon Tonight.” The new programming averaged only 601,000 total viewers during the week of July 19-23. His show had been averaging only 687,00 viewers during the 10 p.m. hour and dropped to 515,000 viewers for the second hour. Many people called the name announcement an over-hyped publicity stunt that was meant to “resuscitate his failing ratings.”
Lemon revealed he didn’t mean to “set the internet on fire” and that he is back with his newly named show, but critics pointed out that he knows exactly what he’s doing.
“All the hype following his teased ‘announcement’ isn’t an accident. Lemon deliberately orchestrated a self-serving mini-news cycle to get people to tune into his stupid TV show,” wrote Washington Examiner writer Becket Adams.
Between his newly announced show and a highly publicized Town Hall Event, Lemon continues to struggle with bad ratings. CNN can change the name of the show all they want, but nothing will change with their ratings until they change the host.
