Americans have quickly learned that what President Biden says and does are two different things. Many voted for him anticipating a moderate who would do what was best for the country. However, he’s easily swayed by the liberals who seem insistent on destroying the country.
When Biden talked about taxes throughout his presidential campaign, he claimed that it wouldn’t impact taxpayers earning less than $400,000.
Whoops, that appears to be a lie.

President Biden has announced a $2 trillion infrastructure plan, although not all of that money will be used on infrastructure.
That’s quite a bit of money, and the money has to come from somewhere. Oh, and it will.
That’s where the truth has come out about the tax increase. It turns out that many taxpayers earning $200,000 a year will be impacted.
Words are important. Unfortunately, words aren’t something that Biden is good at. They come out garbled – and it appears that he used the wrong ones when he talked about the tax increase.
Previously, Biden said that the tax increase wouldn’t apply to anyone earning less than $400,000 and filing individually.
That’s not exactly true, though. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced in mid-March that the $400,000 threshold for the tax increase would apply to families instead of individuals.
That changes everything.
Now, if an American earns $200,000 a year and is married to someone who earns that same salary or more and they file their taxes jointly, the tax increase could absolutely apply to them.
So much for the $400,000 threshold.
How is it that the president can lie? The videos are all over the place. He announced that “No one making under $400,000 will see their federal taxes go up. Period.”
Yet, it’s clear that he lied. Making $200,000 a year can lead to trouble for many American taxpayers – and they’ll be forced to pay for the ridiculously expensive infrastructure plan. And most won’t even see how that infrastructure will impact them.
Is it that Biden boldly lied to everyone? Or, is it that he didn’t understand that there are various tax situations? Filing individually and filing jointly can have a significant impact on income thresholds. Biden didn’t offer any kind of distinction. He simply used words like “no one” and “period” as if to say that he knew what he was talking about.
Voting may have gone a lot differently had Biden been forthcoming from the very beginning. Since May of 2020, Biden talked about his big plans regarding potential tax increases. He promised everyone he came into contact with that he would not raise taxes on those earning less than $400,000 a year.
Such words offered comfort to people. Wealthy individuals who work hard with their spouses to contribute to their households believed Biden. They felt that, since neither earned $400,000 a year on their own, they would be safe.
They voted based on these promises.
Joe Biden won the presidency using lies.
The reality is that there are many more people impacted by the tax hikes than Biden wanted to lead on. A lot of people will have to pay these higher taxes because they file as a family.
And it’s not just Biden who lied. During a debate between Mike Pence and Kamala Harris, Harris decided to reiterate the lie. She claimed that he would not raise taxes on anyone making less than $400k. Those same words are echoed on Biden’s presidential campaign website, which is still running.
So, what now?
Will Biden make changes to make good on his initial promise? Unlikely – he needs all the money he can get his hands on to pay for this multi-trillion-dollar infrastructure plan.
We simply have to accept that he’s a liar. No Democrat will call him out on it. If it were Trump, the media would be in a frenzy to expose the lies. With Biden, we have to believe that it was an honest mistake, even though it most certainly was a carefully thought-out plan to deceive Americans.
