How Gov. DeSantis ‘Follows The Science’ More Than Fauci

Critics have erupted on Dr. Anthony Fauci, Biden’s medical adviser, for advising people not to eat indoors and socialize with others even after getting the vaccine. And now Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is pushing back against Democrats and the liberal media’s claim that vaccinated Americans still need to follow the same coronavirus restrictions as unvaccinated individuals.

“No, [eating and drinking indoors is] still not OK for the simple reason that the level of infection, the dynamics of infection, in the community are still really disturbingly high,” Fauci told MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan Sunday.

Dr. Fauci cited no specific infection rates or hospitalizations but simply stated that there would have to be “lower cases” in order to lift those restrictions. When Rep. Jim Jordan asked Dr. Fauci in a recent hearing what specific number or measurements they are using, Fauci didn’t respond. He just kept pointing out that there needs to be a “lower” amount of cases in the nation.

Big Tech has also joined in to help that no information that contradicts the liberal medical “experts” views is easily accessible to the public. They only use the term “misinformation” to make Americans believe that Dr. Fauci is the only expert they should listen to, as well as banning or suppressing any information that contradicts the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control.

“I think the messaging is horrific. I think the messaging should be, ‘Get a vaccine because it’s good for you to do it. It works. You’re not going to have to have to be doing anything abnormal. You can live your life.’ That’s got to be what the message is,” Gov. DeSantis told a crowd In Lakeland, Florida.

Gov. DeSantis’s comments go against the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, which recommend people to continue wearing a mask and staying 6 feet apart even when fully vaccinated. He said the guidelines, as well as Dr. Fauci’s advice, are discouraging people from getting the vaccine.

“My view is if you get a vaccine, vaccines are effective, you’re immune, so act immune. If you tell people the opposite, then gee, you know why if it’s not effective for them and it’s not going to change anything, then what’s the point of going through it?” Gov. DeSantis said.

Dr. Fauci criticized the governor’s statements and said that it is “premature” to be pulling back that much. He said that it’s misleading and gives the public a false sense of security, adding that no vaccine is 100% effective at guarding against the virus.

Yet this goes against recent findings in a study published by the CDC in late March that suggests vaccinated people do not carry the virus and do not get sick. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky adds that these findings are not only in the clinical trials but also in real-world data.

I’m sure Dr. Fauci and the rest of the liberal mainstream media will find a way to twist this and talk about new variants of the virus. Democrats wouldn’t dare to share some positive news. And like Gov DeSantis said: if you’re immune, act immune.
