Kamala Harris stood at the podium during the vice-presidential debate and told the world that she would not have anything to do with a vaccine during the Trump presidency. She said that if he “tells us we should take it, I’m not taking it.”
Election Day has left Biden in the lead, but it’s still the Trump presidency. As he promised, it looks like there’s going to be a vaccine available by the end of the year. Pfizer has announced a significant amount of success with their latest trial.
So, it looks as though Kamala Harris has to do a bit of backpedaling. As much of the country deals with a second wave and there are more infections than ever, it’s important that people start talking about the very real possibility of taking the vaccine once it’s made available.

Donald Trump isn’t the one who made the vaccine. He’s simply the one working with some of the most talented researchers and medical professionals in the country. He’s said that the Pfizer vaccine is a good one – and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t believe him.
Even if you don’t like Trump, you should believe what science tells you. Pfizer is a reputable pharmaceutical company, and they have published the results of their trial to show how it can prevent coronavirus cases in approximately 90 percent of those given the vaccine.
Many Democrats are going to turn to Biden and Harris for what they should do. Is it safe to take? Pfizer says it is, but Trump is the one saying to take it – and Harris said that she wouldn’t if Trump told her to.
This is where it’s going to be all about the sheep. If Biden and Harris really want to do what’s right for America, they’ll have to eat some crow. They’ll have to announce that it is safe to take the vaccine, even if it means doing so during the Trump administration.
Even if Biden becomes the president-elect once the Electoral College meets in December, he won’t officially take office until following Inauguration Day. So, is it possible that the country can wait until January 20 or later for the vaccine?
There’s no telling when the Pfizer vaccine will be ready for mass rollout. There are two other pharmaceutical companies saying that they are close to vaccines, too. If they can be ready to start rolling out to at-need communities by December, it’s going to happen.
Trump is going to want to get the vaccines out quickly. It’s what he’s been talking about for months.
Leave it to Governor Cuomo of New York to keep something away from his residents, however. He wants to politicize getting help to people, saying “Frankly, I’m not going to trust the federal government’s opinion and I wouldn’t recommend to New Yorkers based on the federal government’s opinion.”
So, Cuomo doesn’t trust anyone in the federal government – not just the Trump administration but the entire federal government. That’s a problem. He believes that the Trump administration’s plan to roll out the vaccine is “flawed” because he believes private providers will handle it, leaving out a number of communities.
This is quite the mess that the Dems have made for themselves. They want the vaccine but they don’t want it while Trump is still in office. They also want to make sure that it gets out to all communities, though Biden hasn’t talked about any kind of rollout plan so that we even know if it varies from Trump’s plan.
It’s a mess. It’s now just a “wait and see” game as to when the vaccine will be ready to go. We need to hope that it can be rolled out during the Trump administration to ensure that everyone gets access to it. Otherwise, the liberals will focus on their own, leaving Trump supporters to be penalized in the worst way possible.
